With school starting next week, we are working hard to get back into the swing of things. Putting the girls to bed at a decent hour. Waking them up at the time they need them to be ready for school. And finishing up their summer reading lists and projects.
We're also pre-planning the school lunches and snacks they'll need for the energy to learn. While shopping at Walmart™ , we came up with some quick bites that'll make it easy for you to make... and for them to eat. They invovle Quaker products™ , and nearly all of them are located in the cereal aisle.
3 Easy Snacks for Back-to-School
1. This is definitely the easiest. Our girls like grabbing a granola bar to eat on the way to school or as a snack after school. Since the ones they eat are Quaker Chewy Dips covered in chocolate and we don't want them to melt, I simply put it in the freezer overnight. It thaws during the day making for a treat that's not so messy... on their hands and clothes.
2. This one is fun to make. Plus, your kids can help decide what to put in it. It's create your own snack mix. I used Quaker's Life Cereal in the cinnamon flavor, pretzels and dried fruit. And mixed them all together. Yum!
3. This one makes a good snack and lunchtime meal - oatmeal. Just fill a thermos with the appropriate amount of water and mix in Quaker Instant Oatmeal. Our girls prefer the Maple & Brown Sugar flavor.
