Yay, I'm a Chick-fil-A Mom. So... what does that mean?

So... what does all this mean?

Anyone who knows me knows how much I heart Chick-fil-A. I would eat it everyday if I could. Better yet, I would buy and open a franchise if I could.

When I was moving around the country to further my former career as a television journalist (see my work here), my go-to, fast-food fix for chicken wasn't always readily available. I remember when I would go home, my parents would either bring me Chick-fil-A to the airport or already have it waiting for me at our house. They're great parents.

Now, NewsyDad and I are passing along our love for Chick-fil-A to Monkey & Lil Tank. We even have our "usuals".

  • NewsyDad: #2 with sweet tea.
  • NewsyMom: #1 with Dr. Pepper or lemonade, it depends on what kind of mood I'm in.
  • Monkey: Chicken nugget 6-count kid's meal with fruit cup and chocolate milk.
  • Lil Tank: Chicken nugget 6-count kid's meal with fries and chocolate milk.

The girls and I usually share the nuggets and sandwich. For birthday parties, we order the large chicken nugget platter. It comes with two sauces; we prefer BBQ and Chick-fil-A. YUM! They are quite the hit and of course, go quickly. Check out Lil Tank at nearly one year old in the picture below.

So now you know how much I love Chick-fil-A. Just imagine how thrilled and honored I was to be selected on the 2nd annual Chick-fil-A Mom Panel. Thank you for including me! When we launched the blog last September, I remember meeting new blogger friends who were on the panel. I thought, "Wow, I want to be a Chick-fil-A Ambassador!". Now, I am. Words can't describe how I feel right now.

So... what does all this mean?

It means that over the next year, I will be among the first to hear about inside Chick-fil-A knowledge and happenings. How cool is that? Plus, I received all those goodies you see in the picture above. NewsyDad uses the water bottle. I have the cooler. Monkey & Lil Tank share the lip moisturizer and already took the bandaids that are missing from the picture. You know what's even better? We can share the Chick-fil-A news we learn with you. If you'd like to know more about what Chick-fil-A has in store... be sure to follow our social media channels (listed at the top and bottom of this page).

Of course, I'm ending this post on a fun note. I'm sure you've heard that if you dress like a cow on Cow Appreciation Day, you'll receive a free Chick-fil-A meal. You can tell we really got into this. I'm not super crafty where I can make my own costume, but I can assemble a printable. The girls helped me by cutting out all the pieces and we took turns taping the spots on each other. It was a fun activity AND we received a free dinner. Win-Win! If you'd like to wear a similar outfit for the next Cow Appreciation Day, get your free printable here.

So what's your favorite Chick-fil-A meal? Have you ordered any of their platters for a party?
