DIY Costume for Chick-fil-A's Cow Appreciation Day

How would you like free Chick-fil-A? All you have to do is dress like a cow on Cow Appreciation Day, which happens to be on Tuesday, July 14.

As a Chick-fil-A Mom, I wanted to share how I created these fun cow costumes for me and the girls. While I'm creative and somewhat crafty, I'm not super crafty. But I can assemble a printable.

I thought this would be a fun activity to do with the girls. Plus, it'll help improve their fine motor skills by using scissors which they love.

Monkey & Lil Tank helped me by cutting out all the pieces, including ears, nose, spots and sign. Then, we took turns taping the spots on each other. I taped the ears on a headband which worked out well and used ribbon to hang the sign. It was a great, hands-on activity AND we received a free dinner. Win-Win!

Dressed as bovines, we headed to the mall where everyone complimented us on our outfits. Even the staff was impressed when we ordered our "usuals" from Chick-fil-A.

  • NewsyMom: #1 with Dr. Pepper or lemonade, it depends on what kind of mood I'm in.
  • Monkey: Chicken nugget 6-count kid's meal with fruit cup and chocolate milk.
  • Lil Tank: Chicken nugget 6-count kid's meal with fries and chocolate milk.

It was so much fun. The girls had a blast and called me the best mom ever!
