Why use organic skincare products? Answers from B-True Organics

We've all been there. Walked into a beauty store and asked the sales associate for a product they recommend that will help improve the look of our skin or hair. They walk us down an aisle and point out their favorite product. But when asked why they recommend it or the ingredients in the product… it's crickets. That's NOT the experience you'll get at B-True Organics at Market on University in Plantation, Florida.

The skincare boutique first began online only in 2008, opened its first store in Hollywood, Florida in 2010 and now four years later, opened its second location in Plantation. The grand opening is June 12 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Ben Primus and his wife, Carleen, an aesthetician, started the company to offer products free of harmful chemicals. In fact, B-True Organics has a lot in common with the produce section of a grocery store. Products are crafted with botanicals such as fennel, grapefruit, and mango. They're almost pure enough to eat and have never been tested on animals. B-True also created their own line of products that cover five of the most essential aspects of beauty: bath and body, eyes, hair care, makeup and skincare. In addition, they also carry many well-known brands such as John Masters, Eminence Skin Care and Zoya.

Why should we use natural products? What are the benefits? Carleen explains below.

Before a product even makes it onto their shelves, Carleen is extremely careful in asking what ingredients are used and HOW MUCH of it is included. B-True stands behind what they sell and ensures everything in their stores aligns with their mission of providing non-toxic, organic products.

One of my favorites that I sampled while at the exclusive bloggers event I planned to promote the new Market on University location (disclosure: this is one of the shopping centers the company I work for owns) is a Pencil Me In Cosmetics natural ingredient eye liner pencil. It comes in 30 fun colors. I selected the blue denim shade. Monkey and I also wore it to the boutique's grand opening. What do you think?

B-True also lets customers put its products to the test in private treatment rooms, when receiving organic facials and massages that employ Hawaiian and Balinese techniques, soon to be offered at the Plantation location. I received a complimentary facial this week and it was so relaxing. It was like a massage for my face. The best part was when she placed a cocoa enzyme on my face. It smelled good enough to eat! When my treatment was complete, I could tell my face was fresh and clean. Highly recommend!

This new boutique, as I mentioned earlier, is located at Market on University. The company I work for is redeveloping the shopping center to include new retailers such as LA Fitness, BGR The Burger Joint and Elements Massage. To keep up-to-date on the progress, connect with us on social media. In the meantime, we'll see you at the grand opening celebration.
