DISCLOSURE: We were invited to Pumpkin Towne and received complimentary pumpkins in exchange for sharing our experience.
It's fall in Florida. You know what that means?
No, we don't have leaves that change into beautiful colors of red, orange and yellow.
No, we don't have crisp, cool air that makes you want to put on a sweater and boots.
But we do have pumpkin patches!
Over the weekend, we discovered a super cute pumpkin patch in the Whole Foods shopping center in Wellington called Pumpkin Towne. We were at Lion Country Safari and stopped by on our way home.
It's a nice set up in the parking lot. There's ample parking and admission is free. Besides the pumpkins, there are family-friendly activities, too. You can jump in the pumpkin-shaped bounce house. Ride on the merry-go-round. Take pictures with the Scarecrow and on top of hay bales. Our girls had a blast doing it all.
Monkey & Lil Tank walked up and down each aisle searching through the minis, pie-sized and large ones to find the perfect pumpkins for carving. It was fun watching them pick up each one to see how heavy it was and if they could carry them. Some of them were bigger than their heads!
After we accomplished our mission of finding the perfect pumpkins, it was time to check out Pumpkin Towne's fun fall activities. Watch the video below for a look at our family fun. Even I went on a ride on the merry-go-round. It reminded me of the spinning tea cups at Disney.
We highly recommend this pumpkin patch. It's a great place to take babies and younger children because it's not crowded and offers some family-friendly activities. There are two other locations - Jupiter and Stuart. Go here for directions. They are open everyday through Halloween from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The family who owns Pumpkin Towne has been serving Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties for over 30 years. What's even better is they also sell Christmas trees during the holidays. We can't wait because Christmas is our favorite time of year! But for now, we're looking forward to turning our pumpkins into Jack O'Lanterns this weekend. Thanks, Pumpkin Towne, for the perfect fall activity with our girls.
