When we launched our Newsy Parents blog in September of 2012 - the week of our 7th wedding anniversary - we knew it would be an adventure. We knew we wanted to tell our stories through our words and videos. We knew we wanted to share those stories with others. What we didn't know was how much more there was to learn!
As you can see by the picture above, I was so excited to attend my first blogger conference hosted by Niche Parent. It gave me the opportunity to network and learn how to turn our blog into a business. Find out other great tips here.
Since then, I've attended other blogger workshops and tutorials and learned lots. I'm really looking forward to SoFabU on the Road in Miami later this month. I became a member of the Social Fabric/Collective Bias Network months ago. They work with several brands and partner bloggers with those brands to help tell their story. That's what we're all about. So it's a great fit.
At the #SoFabUOTR Miami Conference on February 28 at The Four Seasons Miami, we will have a day full of learning sponsored by Johnny Rockets, Müller, Kraft and iBlog. Schedule here. One of the things I'm especially excited about is hearing from Matt Cherry, founder and CEO of iBlog magazine, will share secrets the experts use to maximize their exposure, connect with brands and eliminate administrative tasks that keep bloggers from realizing their true potential to make MONEY! We'll also tour the Wynwood area with some photographers to learn valuable tips on how to make our pictures stand out. Be sure to follow us on Instagram here to check out our picture-taking progress. Although I think we do a pretty good job coming from the journalism & video background, there's always more to learn.
Speaking of learning, to find out more about Collective Bias/Social Fabric and their On the Road conferences, read below. There could be one in your city next month!
