Women's fashions that come to you. Drive on in, Trendy Truck!

It’s the coolest concept I’ve seen in quite some time - a women’s boutique on wheels! I know they’ve hit the streets in other parts of the country like California, but this was a first for South Florida. It’s called The Trendy Truck.

Not only does the truck bring fashions right to your doorstep. Not only does the truck carry the latest trends from Los Angeles and New York. Not only is it the coolest thing on four wheels. But it’s run by a mother-daughter team. I love family businesses, just read about the newest boutique at Union Planters Plaza in Fort Lauderdale. Etiquette Boutique is owned by a mother-son team.

Brenda is the mom. She is a born and raised Floridian and has always had a knack for fashion. A Bauder Fashion College Graduate, she has been involved in the industry for many years and is passionate about all things beauty and Fashion. Brenda is a successful entrepreneur, owning an Aveda Salon as well as an event company. Now she is ready to start a new and exciting chapter in the world of fashion with The Trendy Truck.

Sydney is the daughter. She is also a born and raised Floridian and a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida. Working NY fashion week with designer Rolando Santana gave Sydney the realization that fashion was not just an interest but something she would like to one day make a career out of. A free-spirit inspired by all things fashion, Sydney aims to combine her loves of fashion and traveling with The Trendy Truck, South Florida’s first boutique on wheels.

Speaking of the wheels, the truck is a 1974 Chevy Step Van, a former army fire truck. The dynamic duo pimped it out “Miami style”. There are racks of clothes, drawers of accessories and even a dressing room that I’ve utilized a time or two.

Like when I bought a large-sized shirt and turned it into a me-sized tunic. Cute, huh?
